Campus France launches French + Sciences
Campus France is diversifying its service offer by launching a new short-stay programme, "French + Sciences", in partnership with FLE centres, diplomatic posts and the Espaces network.
Enhance French technological know-how by overcoming the language barrier
The creation of this program responds to the objective of attracting English-speaking students enrolled in scientific and technological universities, who can be complete beginners in French.
The sessions offered as part of "French + Sciences" aim to promote French technological know-how and the excellence of scientific training. They are mainly conducted in English - while including a French as a Foreign Language module: the objective is to overcome the language barrier, for this audience that the need for prior learning of French may discourage them from "choosing France", and from pursuing higher education there later.
Innovative themes around current issues
These short stays of 3 to 4 weeks are structured around an internationally recognized theme and companies in the economic region of the region where the partner FLE centres are located (all with "FLE quality label" references): "Around sustainable development" for Montpellier and French accent, "Marine sciences and technologies" for the Ciel de Bretagne, "Microtechnology and biomedical engineering" with the CLA de Besançon, "Energy and Transport" with French in Normandy in Rouen. The last three allow the validation of ECTS credits.
Simplified registration procedures for international students
Registration is done online, directly on the website of the partner FLE centres, which thus have the possibility to answer students' questions directly. The dates of the sessions are based on the summer holidays of both hemispheres, so that, whatever the geographical area of origin of the students interested in "French + Sciences", they can find a session corresponding to the period of their holidays.
